BECOME A MEMBER
Membership is one of the most important ways to keep supporting the organization which is actively advocating for paid medical service for members. Membership fees help to fund our activities and members help us to spread the word and raise awareness about Lymphedema.
We offer 4 different types of annual membership:
Individual Membership- $40 CDN/year
Membership is open to individuals living with lymphatic diseases and their family and friends.
Professional Membership - $125 CDN /year
Subscription period: 1 year Sept 1st - Aug 31st
For individuals (RMTs, PTs, garment fitters and physicians) providing care and services for those with lymphatic diseases.
All MLD/CDT therapists applying for a professional membership must have been trained by a Lymphology Association of North America (LANA) approved school for treating Lymphedema with a minimum of 135 hours of lymphatic training through the school.
All garment fitters must have a certification from a garment vendor to provide fittings for lymphedema or lipedema patients.
All advertising/promotion opportunities are listed under the individual's name, not their business name or the company they work for.
Corporate Membership - $300 CDN/year min 5 members or locations, or $60 for each location within BC, over the minimum 5.
Subscription period: 1 year Sept 1st - Aug 31st
For individuals or companies providing Lymphedema care or services such as: suppliers of compression garments or products and RMT’s & PT’s running specialty clinics for Lymphedema patients.
Gifted Membership is a one-year individual membership paid for by BCLA.
For people interested in joining and participating in BC Lymphedema Association activities that are not able to afford the annual membership, please submit a request for a Gifted Membership to info@bclymph.org email address.
Your request will be reviewed and a response provided within 30 days of receipt of email.
